This is a wonderful list. ๐Ÿ’› Relate completely. My summer boundary is when we are driving anywhere over 5 minutes I will not let any kids ride in the front with me. Iโ€™ve just learned that my kids in the front seat mean more noises, volume and chaos. They can talk and sing and be silly with each other in the backseat. That few feet of space makes all the difference to my sensitive nervous system and Iโ€™m a better parent when I get where weโ€™re going ๐Ÿ˜‚

Great strategies, Megan. The quiet place is a must; I try to find some hidden place at work when I need decompression. Sometimes I need a lay down after overstimulating conversation. (I enjoy it but I need to wind down!) When I don't have those options, mindfully, sloowwly sipping cold water helps me! Thank you for the verses! ๐Ÿ™

Noise canceling headphones are amazing! My grandchildren use them as well and they are learning how to manage their nervous systems at a young age. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Š

It has never been weirder than possessing a will, so exhausted, that being alive, again, is overwhelming. Neck and shoulder massage people possess magical powers. Probably knew this already but feels important to share.
